Tim Ward is an Independent Advanced Senior tutor in Team Teach Positive Handling and is licensed to deliver training in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, Birmingham and County Durham

Team Teach is an accredited course carefully designed to reduce risk of harm to children, young people and those adults working with them with a duty of care. The training increases confidence and behavioural understanding allowing the safe management of strong feelings and aggression. Tim has delivered these courses since 2006 and many hundreds of school and care staff have benefitted from this training and continue to do so. The feedback from staff teams is always excellent and course members who have attended the training have stated the information they have received has made a positive difference to the lives of the children in their care.

Courses are delivered within your schools or service settings during a day or as twilight sessions. Each course is bespoke in design and is individual to the needs of the children and staff within the setting .

The aim of Team-Teach training is to reduce risks associated with challenging behaviour and the focus over time is to reduce the need for physical management when a person is 'in Crisis', replacing this need with other strategies for the child. It does this by offering ongoing support for staff in their Behavioural Understanding and building confidence in the safe management of troubled and often troublesome young people and how they react to and deal with strong feelings and emotions. Sustainable positive and caring relationships are the key element of any community and these allow those within the community to grow in understanding and resilience. Team Teach is Accredited and Nationally recognised as best practise for Education and Care settings.

"..through the promotion of de-escalation strategies and the reduction of risk, restraint and restriction, to support teaching, learning and caring, by increasing staff confidence and competence, in responding to behaviours that challenge, whilst promoting and protecting positive relationships. Positive Behavioural Support  approaches are entirely compatible with Team-Teach "  George Matthews (Director of Team Teach)
